Study Confirms Ortho Evra Blood Clot Risk

On September 20, 2006, the results of a study were released that confirmed the higher risk of blood clots in the lungs and legs when using the Ortho Evra birth control patch, compared to oral contraceptives. The risk was estimated to be three times that of the clot risk associated with birth control pills.
