James Stewart White has practiced law since 1975. Born in Tennessee, his family moved to Nevada in 1956. Mr. White graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He attended the University of California Davis School of Law and is licensed to practice in both Nevada and California.
Following law school, Mr. White served as law clerk for District Court Judge John Gabrielli, then began his practice with the Reno law firm of Streeter, Sala & McAuliffe, where he became a partner and remained until 1991. Practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and real estate law, Mr. White successfully appeared in court on hundreds of occasions. As a general practitioner, Mr. White handled numerous other matters as well, including divorces, probates and adoptions, personal injury claims, bankruptcy, condemnation trials and local government contract negotiations. This wide range of experience serves the Law Offices of White Meany & Wetherall because, in the course of representing our personal injury clients, Mr. White can address other legal problems a client may have, or refer the client to one of his many contacts in the legal community.
Mr. White joined the Law Offices of White & Meany in 2000 and became a partner in 2001. He is a valuable asset to the firm as an experienced trial attorney who is able to render advice on a broad range of concerns that can arise in the representation of a personal injury client. Mr. White makes a client's matter "his own" and gives it his entire attention to ensure that each client receives the best possible result.
